The Giant Warthog (Metridiochoerus), is an extinct genus of the pig family that lived during the Late Pliocene to the Early Pleistocene epochs in Africa. They are one of the earliest creatures encountered in Ancestors.
Gameplay attributes[]
A herbivore, Warthogs are not known for the danger they impose. However, an exception be made for the Metridiochoerus. A huge hulking beast, it can be deadly to a weaker Hominid. Luckily, they quickly lose their danger as the player starts to unlock weapons. But they still pack a punch, so caution is advised.
