The Miocene African Otter (Enhydriodon dikikae) is a very large extinct species of otter that will attack Hominids if they draw too close, although they have a smaller bubble than other hostile creatures. When idle, the otter may float on their backs in nearby bodies of water or run around on the shore. They often come in small groups, in the same area as crocodiles.

- Sometimes, it is not possible to attack the otters, and they have to be intimidated or dodged.
- The Miocene African Otter are also known to rarely attack small land animals. For example, the player can make an African Otter kill a Black or Green Mamba, if the otters are out of the water.
